V line Driver Education and PT Classes Open in School
The sophomore driving unit works in a black and white Chevrolet with four students driving twice daily for eleven minutes each. Speeds capped at 20 mph and hands placed on the wheel at ten and two positions. Instructors use wall lights or signals for turns. Textbook is Sportsmanlike Driving and students practice during study hall. PT classes start this semester, taught by Mr Hooton, with girls on Monday and Wednesday and boys on Tuesday. Girls form teams and begin basketball drills, including calisthenics, as students adapt to the new routine.
