Man Suffers Broken Nose After Horse Kick
Peter Laursen, a worker at the S. B. Hefty farm, was kicked in the barn by a hearse last Thursday. He suffered a broken nose, was knocked unconscious, and carried to the house by Wim Zeniner and Marx Schwerter. He regained consciousness but was in great pain, though the injury was not serious.

Sectional Girls Basketball at Wesley This Week
The girls sectional tournament begins at Wesley with four first round games. Renwick versus Wesler is scheduled for Thursday night February 13. The other two games are set for Wednesday night and two more on Thursday night.

Vernon Consolidated coach Ray Lotzer was sidelined all last week due to a toe infection that led to blood poisoning and kept him from duties until returning to work last Tuesday.
