Miss Anawayne Jackson former Renwick music teacher and Robert G. Martin Jr son of Mr and Mrs Robert G. Man Suffers Broken Nose After Horse Kick

Peter Laursen, a worker at the S. B. Hefty farm, was kicked in the barn by a hearse last Thursday. He suffered a broken nose, was knocked unconscious, and carried to the house by Wim Zeniner and Marx Schwerter. He regained consciousness but was in great pain, though the injury was not serious.

Sectional Girls Basketball at Wesley This Week

The girls sectional tournament begins at Wesley with four first round games. Renwick versus Wesler is scheduled for Thursday night February 13. The other two games are set for Wednesday night and two more on Thursday night.

Vernon Coach Laid Up With Infected Toe

Vernon Consolidated coach Ray Lotzer was sidelined all last week due to a toe infection that led to blood poisoning and kept him from duties until returning to work last Tuesday. Mrs. Walter Hansen hosted a two o clock party Wednesday after school honoring daughter Marian on her birthday with refreshments and gifts. Mr Maurie entertained guests at a dinner Sunday for daughter Marilyn's birthday. William Bleasner came home last week from Lutheran Hospital Fort Dodge after several weeks as a medical patient.

Humboldt and Bode place Henery and Opheim on the first team at forward. Doug Nelson of Goldfield leads the tournament scoring and is named center. First team guards Volberding Humboldt and Logue Livermore. Logue praised as a fine four man and Volberding as a rebounder and scorer. Second team includes Stephens Corwith, Smith Livermore, Negaard Laverne, Christianson Humboldt, and Theobald Goldfield.

Paul Leaverton to Speak at Father and Son Meeting

The Men's Community Club announces the annual Father and Son meeting at the schoolhouse on Monday night February 10. Wildlife conservation officer Paul Leaverton will deliver an illustrated talk, with additional program items. All men and young men are invited. dinner is at 7. Lac-a-Name Club Hosts Card Night at Mitchell Home

Mr and Mrs Terry Mitchell entertained the Lac a Name club last Thursday evening with five hundred played at four tables. Mrs Fritz Kraft won high score Walter McPeak took the traveling prize and P H Sadler earned the low score prize. The hostess served lunch.
