Christmas Parties Highlight Junior Missionary Group Activities
Mrs Wilbur Nissen hosted a Chrismas party for the Junior Missionary workers with a gift exchange and a box sent to the Lake Villa orphans home. The Evan Selisi United Brethren Youth Fellowship held a meeting at Deloria and Ronnie Ogan's home with lessons and devotions followed by carols and a lunch. Marjorie Long hosted the TIT girls club for a Christmas party with gifts and a feast. The group contributed 35 00 to the Helping Hand Mission shoe fund.

Vernon community schedules busy Christmas gatherings
Local clubs and families host Christmas parties and birthday surprises across Vernon and Renwick. Events include a 4-H party at the Vernon Schoolhouse, a literary guild dinner at the Gimner home, and a teachers dinner for the school board.
Lake Area Social Notes Include Parties and Caroling
Mrs Alva Hill hosted a birthday party for Jimmie after school Monday. Karen's party drew twelve girls with Mrs Andrew Fuhr hosting. Mrs Lewis Sampon hosted a coffee afternoon for several ladies in honor of Mrs Robert Norris and Chicago visitors at Herman Hervey’s. The Lake choir performed over a loud speaker in Goldfield then caroled in Engle Grove, Goldfield, and Renwick. Marilyn Gangstead Elaine Haaland and Mary Lois Mendinger are home from Forest City for holidays. Arthur Thompson and family visited Cher Odland in Clarion Friday evening. Peter Rasmussen remains seriously ill but improving. Relatives and friends visited him this week. Cher Odland and family visited Erwinolland to see his father recovering from a broken hip.
