Lendal Golifield of Lake Township died at his farm on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Lake Lutheran with Pastor Norma Johnson officiating. Arrangements are by the Funeral Chapel of Eagis Groves.
Sunday worship morning caroling planned with a Christmas program practice on Saturday and a Christmas party for youth and adults. Church activities list various classes and rehearsals, noting dates, times, and volunteer committees for the festive program.

St Yau Lutheran church held its annual congregational meeting last Sunday evening with a pot luck supper. Members heard reports on the past year and discussed resolutions for 1982. A budget of 9 995.00 for 1962 was accepted and new officers were elected for three year terms including George Markman and Selmer Nerem as secretary.

Judy Henriksen daughter of Mr and Mrs L N Henriksen of Finwick was tapped Dec 5 into the Torch and Tassel at Iowa State College for outstanding scholarship leadership and service. She is a 1999 Boohe Valley High School graduate and will graduate in June. In other notices Mr and Mrs Fred Bosworth and Marvin held a Friday evening serenade at Harold Ox permanent for their men.
