Bridge Club Social and Scattered Local Events
The 5.0.8. Bridge Club met last Thursday at Mrs. George Latch home with three tables in play. Prizes were awarded for high score and draws. refreshments followed. A Cub Scouts Den No.3 meeting occurred Saturday at Lawrence Nereni home with a brief session and a note of activity. A Christmas gifts party honored Kristi Anna at Mrs. W. H. Long residence with a delicious lunch and many gifts. A baby shower hosted by Mrs. Marvin Nerein and others at Mrs. John Palmer’s home last Friday evening drew about 45 guests for Kristiandes.

Renwick Woitan’s Crib Wills Meet For Christmas Party
The Renwick Woitan’s Crib Wills hold their annual Christmas party this afternoon at Mrs. A.D. Gimner’s home. A desert luncheon was served by three bridge tables. prizes awarded to Mrs. Walter McPeak high and Mrs. O. S. Overbaugh low, with Virgil Erwin hosting. Friends gathered for a surprise birthday party for Mrs. Beenen at her home Tuesday evening, with an oyster supper after. The Baptist Mission Circle met at Fred Engstrom’s Friday. James Nejson led the lesson and Donald Gillespie gave the devotional. Fortnightly Club plans a Christmas party at Mrs. Johan Zimmerman’s home today with assistants Mrs. E. Johnson and Mrs. Av. H. Stratford.

A motion to issue a permit to the Renwick Community Creamery to operate a skinning and dressing department with the Locker Plant was approved, with compliance to Iowa laws. The council adjourned after a second motion. Fritz Britt, Town Clerk.

The third adult class meeting is set for Wednesday evening December 15 at 7 30 pm in the school lunchroom. The session will cover Easy Table Decorations and Favours with holiday themes and then resume after the holidays.
