On August 14 the Vernon Boosters 4 H met at St Paul Gilligan's with 15 members attending. Old business covered cobs for the fair. this year 15 baby beeves and dairy heifers will be shown. Roger Engstrom chaired the hog barn, Kenny Friday the dairy barn, and Jim Clowes the baby beeves. adjournment moved by Paul Gilligan and seconded by George Hanselman. Reported by Daryl Brayton.

Christina Biesemeyer returned last Saturday after visiting relatives in Chicago. Rev and Mrs R E Kerney drove to Rolfe Sunday to visit Miss Edna Marcum, cousin of Mr Kerney. Miss Marcum has taught English for years in Rolfe School. Mr and Mrs Vilah Thorp and Mr and Mrs Vaughn Thorp of Garber Oklahoma visited Glen Martin and Charlie Trash homes recently. Mr and Mrs Jim Kleen entertained at supper Sunday evening. Guests included Mr and Mrs Neal Sande of Ames and Mr and Mrs Merrill Kelling of Humboldt.
