Ames Conference Dairymen Invited to Learn Dairy Advances
Humboldt and Wright County dairymen are invited to the Ames conference at State College on Sept 11 to hear research results on feeding antibiotics to calves and forage combinations with grain. William Knox of Hoard's Dairyman will discuss herd health. An afternoon program covers milking parlor operations and farm management practices. A wife’s program is planned and the event ends by 3:30 p.m.

Local families share visits across towns this weekend
Alt and Mrs Marvin Anderson and sons visited Sunday with friends at Wall Lake and Dennison. Mr and Mrs Raymond Johnston of Lattimer were Sunday dinner guests at the Chas Walker home along with Mr and Mrs Ervin Studeman who also joined for supper. Ervin Studeman and his wife visited Corinell Bluffs to see her hospitalised sister. Miss Carét Lee May returned to Kensett after spending the swimmer at Victor Rademaker’s. Miss Schultz, who spent the past week with May, also returned to Kensett. A. H. Goettsch and Judy left for a few days in Royal Oak, Michigan. Marilyn Paine spent the weekend with grandmother Mrs E J Hill at Eagle Grove. On Sunday the Paine, Nevem, and Schipull families joined Mrs Hill to celebrate her 50th birthday.
