Vernon 4-H Club meets for cookery demos at school
The Vigorous Vernon 4-H Club held a July 29 meeting at Vernon Consolidated School with eleven members present. Demonstrations included white sugar cookies, cream puffs, sweet rolls, orange bread, and a 250 minute meal using frozen foods. Adjourned with cool aid and samples. Builders Class 4 of Evangelical United Brethren Church hosted a picnic at Beeds Lake near Hampton with many attendees. Birthday Dinner honors Jane Middleton of Eagle Grove at the Christenson home drew relatives from Eagle Grove.
