Hold-Up Man Loses Court Battle In 10 Year Sentence

Noddy Sampson, tied to a 1983 Latch & Munger theft in Pato Alto county, received a ten year term after being found guilty of armed robbery. His partner was previously sentenced for a Pocahontas county gas station robbery. The supreme court upheld the original verdict after review.

Bay Injures Hand in Hay Rope Pulley

A five year old boy, Donald Anderson, son of Mr and Mrs Alfred Anderson, suffered severe hand injuries Friday at the Renry Helmick farm south of Ren Wieck when his hand was caught in a hay rope pulley as men were raising hay. The injuries included two broken fingers, torn nails, and a badly skinned and bruised hand.
