The Lutheran church announces activities led by Pastor Rev. Norman Johnson. Homemakers will attend a meat cookery demonstration at the Humboldt Theatre on May 4 sponsored by the Humboldt County Farm Bureau Women’s group. ISU economist Wm Untied predicts slaughter and price declines through July with farm hogs and pig crops easing.

Nei Alva McPeak, former Renwick resident born April 9 1884 Maquoketa Iowa, died April 1 in Austin Minnesota. He married Kathryn Mains in 1909 and moved to Minnesota with their two daughters Laura and Mabel. He leaves ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Dinner guests at Lloyd Stevenson home included Henry Helmke and others.
A dinner meeting of the Humboldt County Education Association was held in the Renwick building at Humboldt High School on Wednesday April 15. About a hundred teachers and administrators attended. After dinner they gathered in the gym to hear a state education executive discuss legislative proposals. Mrs Percy Van Alstine Humboldt county representative to the state legislature attended and Miss Van Alstine shared views on pending legislation. A short business meeting followed.

Bertha Krause visited Mrs O Heggen at Goldfield for an Open House on Sunday April 26 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Her office and residence are 14 miles south and 1 mile east of Fort Dodge Airport.
Local Boy Scouts and Dog Scouts of Renwick will perform Monday evening in Humboldt at the school gym. Troop 52 led by Tom Gimer will present a twenty minute costume pageant tracing scouting history from about 200 BC to the present day. Public invited.
The Bobcats opened their 1964 season Friday afternoon with a 10–0 loss to Corwith-Wesley. Carnvith scored in the first inning on a walk two singles and an infield out. Bruce Nelson pitched a three hitter and Don Lerdal led the offense with two hits. Mr and Mrs Orton Lerdal and Terry drove to Northwood Saturday to help the Dean Ashland family move. Mr Ashland and his son Marion had been in hospital for weeks and Ashland had quit farming due to ill health. The Friday noon fire destroyed their home. Mrs Ashland is the daughter of Mrs O C Heggen.
Rov Laurice Streytteler leads events at Evangelical United Brethren Church with catechism class at 4 00 pm on Thursday and worship at 10 30 am on Sunday. A revival rally for the Fort Group of churches is set for Renwick at 2 07 pm.
Thirteen youths from Renwick and Corwith Baptist churches attended the Balai Youth Spring Rally in Webster City on Sunday. They were accompanied by two leaders, Tov and Mike Keouser, in a small travel group.
Humboldt County farmers with seed such as oats soybeans or red clover at an elevator must obtain a permit to sell or auction seed per Norman Moklestad ESU seed lab interpretation of Iowa law. Exemption applies to seed produced on farm with no orders taken. A $5 annual fee applies to solicitors while on farm sales are exempt.
