Easter Breakfast and Church Program Notes

Easter morning services featured an eight oclock breakfast at the Methodist Church with a spring motif, scripture readings, poems, and a life of Jesus skit by local youth. The Baptist Church held an Easter breakfast with a program on the Resurrection. Karen McGowan sang a baritone solo and other readings were performed. Also noted are upcoming K Y N Club meeting, a birthday party for Mrs Wayne Middleton, and reports from B T W and Double I Bridge clubs with prize winners.

Dr and Mrs E H Enge and family of Confrey Minnesota visited Sunday at the Chet Edwards home with all guests at Pete Enge’s. Karen Fuhr spent days at Mortis Halvorson home in Fort Dodge. The Fubrs and Mr and Mrs Dehnar Travis and family were evening visitors. Marilyn Gangstead of Mason City spent the weekend at the Joe Gangstead home. Carl Hokel of Ames also visited. Marilyn started a new position Monday at the business office at Iowa State College in Ames. Mrs Harold Jones and infant son Harley Allen returned home Saturday from a Fort Dodge hospital. Mr and Mrs Sigura Risa and family of Fort Dodge visited Friday evening at the Nick Andersen home. Sunday dinner guests at the Melevin Bell home were Mr and Mrs Roy Fowler of Blairsburg, Barbara Bell of Webster City, and Mr and Mrs DeWayne Risen and son of Eagle Grove. Mr and Mrs J J Lerdal were Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Don Lerdal. Sunday evening dinner guests at the Lewis Sampson home were Mr and Mrs Peter Hansen of Fort Dodge visiting there a few days, Mr and Mrs Leyton Hansen and Greg of Fort Dodge, Mr and Mrs Steve Sampson and Agnes. They also celebrated the birthday of Mrs Steve Sampson. Mr and Mrs Dave Noble and family spent the weekend with relatives at Sioux City. D Mirs Ole Bygnogs, Mrs Herman Harvey and Mrs Chet Edwards visited Charlene Edwards at Iowa Falls Thursday. Charlene returned home with them to spend Easter vacation.
