Krank French returns home for a brief visit and plans wrestling matches at Omala Des Moines and Fort Dodge this week. The Spring Pay meeting of the American Copion Auxiliary will be held in Mort Qadge May 2 at the Hotel Warden. all urged to attend.
The Jolly Birthday Club met Thursday afternoon at the country home of Mrs. Otto Hang. The ladies spent time quilting for the orphanage in Council Bluffs. Refreshments were served at the close of the meeting. Mrs. Edward Lunde of Sioux City visited last Sunday. Lorraine Packard of Des Moines is visiting here this past week with her mother, Mrs. A. Reawick.
A community meeting is planned for Friday evening at the school on Bridge Street. The program includes an invocation by Rev Belden Weiker, a cuatro duet by Howerd and Clifford Smith, a playlet by Candace Packard, performances by 8th grade pupils on flute and violin, and readings by Rosa Gugger and Carmen Pear with Rev Laurence Soh and Mr Cook contributing remarks.
Charlea Trask and Henry Claussen collided on a narrow bridge near Renywick No 60, early Wednesday night last week. Trask with five high school boys, all but Trask injured from the crash. Claussen slightly bruised. Bridge width blamed for the accident as rain reduced visibility and speed.

Will Cole, longtime Renwick resident, died Thursday at a Webster City home at age 73. He was linked with H. B. Gola in a drug and jewelry business here, later working in land dealing before pursuing a legal career after being admitted to the bar about 16 years ago.
The American Legion and Auxiliary gathered last Thursday with about forty members. Plans were laid for spring hall cleaning after an active meeting. Hostesses included Mrs Ed Oppeduhl Mrs Win Beenan and Mrs C A Richardson. Visitors from Des Moines and Elmore added to a social close.
The town senate passed a bill legalizing manufacturing and sale of beer in the state last Thursday and Governor Clyde Herring signed it on Saturday. The law took effect immediately. Des Moines and Fort Dodge saw beer retailed. thousands of licenses issued. Town councils must issue licenses to compliant applicants, possibly permitting beer sales in Renwick in time, though not immediately.
Star Lodge officers were entertained at a 12 o'clock lunch Tuesday by Mrs. Wray Nissen, worthy matron. Guests included Mrs. Gus Nissen, Mia. Austin Burtid of Webster City, and Miss Anna and Mary Johnson of Eagle Grove. An afternoon instruction school was led by Miss Anna Johnson. Supper at 7 p.m. was by the Baptist Ladies society, with an evening session. Visitors came from Humboldt, Eagle Grove, Webster City, Clarion, Corwith, and Kanawha.
Rev. J. G. Moyer, aged 83, died last Friday at his home in Kansas City Kansas after a short illness. The former Renwick Methodist pastor, who served here about fifteen years ago, was remembered by many old friends. Funeral held Monday. daughter Mrs Homer Copeland of Clear Lake notified the family.
Pauline Yeoman a 4 year old, dropped an axe while playing in the yard Saturday evening, severing her younger sister Olidus Yeoman's third and little fingers near the second joints and injuring the middle finger.
The Chicago and North Western Railroad has paid taxes totaling $13,102.95 to Humboldt County Iowa, representing about 60 percent of the county’s expected year total. The payment is part of the 1933 tax remittance to Iowa, with $18,102.95 sent to Humboldt County treasurer as the first half of the year’s levy.

Mrs. Laura Smith assisted by describing her Alaska trip. The S05 bridge club entertained at Mrs. A. N. Statford’s home last Friday. luncheon was served at 1 o’clock and Sara L. R. Turner made a high score.

Last Sunday was the greatest day under the present pastorate with strong morning and evening attendance. The choir sang a faster anthem. Plan to attend all services next Sunday. Bible School at 10 a.m. Morning worship, 7 p.m. Young Peoples Meeting, 7 p.m. Evening worship with the motto Game thou with us and we will do thee good.
