Luther League B B Team Loses In State
Luther League basketball team from St Pauls performed well for the Hawkeye Federation. They won the federation championship before traveling to Wartburg College in Waverly Iowa for the state tournament, beating Eagle Rockwell 38 to 36, then losing to Readyn in the semifinals. Scottish Highlanders Present Concert in Kansas City
Thirty five members of the Scottish Highlanders, an all girl drum and bagpipe band from Iowa State University, performed in the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City as part of the naval circus sponsored by ROTC companies in Kansas City schools. Gladys Nelson was among the performers on the trip.

Miss Phyllis Tanck and Keith Sadler were married Saturday afternoon April 1 at two o clock in the Secred Heer parsonage at Eagle Grove. The double ring ceremony was conducted by Rev Slowey with immediate families present. Attendants were Miss Jackie Sadler and Robert Lane. The bride wore a white suit with red rose corsage, the attendant a navy blue suit with red corsages. The bride is the daughter of Mrs Calla Tanck of Renwick and Mr Ward Severeid of South Bend Indiana. The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs PH Sadler of Renwick, and they grew up in the Renwick vicinity. The groom is employed at the Wisconsin Lumber Co.
