Dental Clinic At Renwick School April 20

The American Legion Auxiliary of Renwick via their child welfare department will hold a dental clinic at Renwick School on Friday April 20 at 9 am. Dr. Long of Renwick will examine, with Mrs Esther Seisen and county health officials assisting. The program supports students at Renwick Vernon and Hardy schools, aiming to improve dental health and attendance.

Music Contest At Britt Friday And Saturday

Vernon and Renwick schools enter a Britt contest on April 13 and 14. Vernon soloists include Jo Ann Krause Betty Hefti Jack Jorgensen and John Pergande with small groups Sextet io and mixed quartet. The Renwick Amvets sponsor a home talent show Friday evening April 20 at the high school auditorium. The main feature will be two Tom Thumb weddings. Many fine home talents are planned for an evening of real entertainment.

Luther League B B Team Loses In State

Luther League basketball team from St Pauls performed well for the Hawkeye Federation. They won the federation championship before traveling to Wartburg College in Waverly Iowa for the state tournament, beating Eagle Rockwell 38 to 36, then losing to Readyn in the semifinals. Kenneth Block was named all state Luther League guard. Congregation members and cheerleaders Janice Helmke and Maurine Nissen supported the team.

Thirty five members of the Scottish Highlanders, an all girl drum and bagpipe band from Iowa State University, performed in the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City as part of the naval circus sponsored by ROTC companies in Kansas City schools. Gladys Nelson was among the performers on the trip.

Beginning April 18 Renwick stores will stay open Wednesday nights for shopping convenience. Historically closed in January February and March the stores will operate on this midweek night for the remaining months of the year.

The Renwick Independent and Vernon Consolidated high schools held Humboldt County Career Day in Gilmore City. Forty one Renwick students and twenty seven guests spoke to eleven occupational fields, guiding course choices for college and senior year. Phyllis Tanck and Keith Sadler Wed In Renwick

Miss Phyllis Tanck and Keith Sadler were married Saturday afternoon April 1 at two o clock in the Secred Heer parsonage at Eagle Grove. The double ring ceremony was conducted by Rev Slowey with immediate families present. Attendants were Miss Jackie Sadler and Robert Lane. The bride wore a white suit with red rose corsage, the attendant a navy blue suit with red corsages. The bride is the daughter of Mrs Calla Tanck of Renwick and Mr Ward Severeid of South Bend Indiana. The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs PH Sadler of Renwick, and they grew up in the Renwick vicinity. The groom is employed at the Wisconsin Lumber Co.
