The Goldfield Iowa Church of Christ led by Maurice Hinds offers Bible School at 9:30 and a 10:30 Worship Service with prayer and Bible study on Thursday evenings. The United Methodist Church under Rev Ronald D Petrak holds Sunday Church School at 9:30 and worship at 10:30 with a warm welcome.

Mr and Mrs Robert A Fisher of Humboldt are proud parents of a daughter born Sunday in Lutheran Hospital Fort Dodge. The newborn weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was named Rhonda Kay.

Paula Kraft, 16, granddaughter of Mr and Mrs Walter Kraft and Mrs TaAnn Kraft, was named Miss Kanawha at the Youth Activity Celebration in Kana wha. The coronation occurred during the Labor Day evening ceremony with Twyla Orvick, daughter of Mr and Mrs Manley Orvick, as this year’s Miss Kanawha.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fitch and family attended the funeral service for his mother Mrs. Ole Ferndahl Saturday August 24 at the Algona Lutheran Church.
Mr and Mrs Richard Elliott and Ricky of Webster City joined Friday guests at the Marion Hoveland home for the birthday of Kimberly Hooeland who turned nine.

Applications available via local conservation officers or county recorders. Bowhunting allowed Sept 28 1983 to Nov 28 1965 with hours before sunrise to after sunset and broad head arrows required. Licenses issued Sept 16 1968 to Nov 28 1988 no limit on bow licenses. Each landowner or bona fide tenant gets two licenses one in their name and one in their spouse name.
The State Conservation Commission set pheasant Hungarian partridge and waterfowl seasons at a Des Moines meeting August 23, 1969. The writer recalls an overnight ride and campout near Stratford with about 60 horses and ponies. Riders enjoyed level land trails, few minor scratches, some wet crossings, and no serious injuries. A show at Goldfield is planned next Sunday followed by the Belmont invitational ride the next week.
