Belated Christmas Dinners Shared Across Many Families
Numerous households in the region held belated Christmas dinners and gatherings over the holiday period. Families from Fort Dodge, Webster City, Livermore, Eagle Grove, Mason City, Ames, Humboldt, Gowrie, and other towns joined relatives in Cedar Rapids, Estherville, Fremont, Lincoln, and Omaha area for meals and visits. A mix of smaller family groups and extended kin traced celebrations through Christmas Eve and Day with varied travel and hosting at multiple homes.
