Fonda Rejects Great Plains Plan Amid Local Opposition
In an August 1968 motion sweeping Iowa locals, Fonda rejects the Great Plains Organization Plan amid a wave of community mobilization. The note lists involved officials, local clubs, and funding efforts while urging county leaders to oppose merging county school systems and marching toward a statewide consolidation by 1970.
