The Church of Christ in Goldfield lists Bible School at 9:30 with classes for all ages and Worship Service at 10:30. An evening service follows at 7:30 with prayer and Bible study. The notice emphasizes no creed but Christ and no book but the Bible and invites a warm welcome. Walter Stover is named superintendent.

A jumble of church activities across several congregations including St Paul Parish events with a Mother-Daughter Banquet at 6 30 pm and confirmation classes, plus Waldorf College Choir concert in Forest City, Hardy United Methodist Church services, and Rockwell City WLCS and WSCS district meetings. Parish house gatherings, evangelism and Sunday school sessions noted.
The former Renwick Methodist church on the north edge of Town Hall lot, erected in 1891 and expanded in 1937, was dismantled over two weeks with 75 volunteers logging more than 800 hours. A public auction for lumber and fittings is set for April 16, while the bell and stained glass are stored for possible future use.
Kindergarten Roundup will be held at 1 30 Friday April 11. Children will be left with the kindergarten teacher in the kindergarten room. Mothers will meet in the Home Room where there will be a program. Please bring your child s birth certificate with you. Other forms will be distributed at the meeting.

The Renwick Legion Auxiliary chose Myral Swan as candidate and Debra Johnson as alternate for the Iowa Girls State session at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls from June 8 to 14. Eligibility requires junior status, upper-half class ranking, and notable leadership qualities. Myral is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Leland Swan of Hardy rural area. Debra is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Alvin Johnson, also of Hardy.
The 1969 track squad reports early results from the State Meet in Iowa City. Dave Anderson placed fourth in the open dash with 53.9 seconds, two tenths off the school record. Steve Hansen set a school pole vault record at 5 ft 8 in after missing once at height, while Norm Schipull reached semifinals in the hurdles. The coach notes ten key athletes must build shape for upcoming meets, aiming to elevate the team as the season progresses.
Mr and Mrs Harold Fitch and others visited Mr Ernest Eggerth Friday to mark his 80th birthday with cards and calls. Alan Anderson was discharged from Belmond Hospital after weeks caring for a car accident injury. Edwin Thorson visited Estherville relatives and Mrs M J Staven who had stayed in hospital.
The Women's Society of Christian Service met Wednesday afternoon at the United Methodist Church for guest day. Women from the LuVerne United Methodist Church attended, each bringing a guest. Attendance surpassed 100.
The Boone Valley All Sports banquet will be held April 18 with assistant football coach as guest speaker and a potluck supper. Gary Grouwinkle of Iowa was mentioned for complete details in next week’s paper.
Numerous Kenwick residents hosted and visited over the weekend. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Chris Pogee and Jean of Moorland, John Pegge family, Marolee Neuberger in Ames, Dean from Bowling Green, and Jennifer Heer from Kansas City. Additional dinners featured the Baesslers, Bakers, Erwins, Pogge seniors, Nissan family, Liscums, and Klasses among others with extended weekend social notables across Ames, Kanawha, Belmond, Fort Dodge, and Humboldt locales.
About 500 bankers from Iowa joined the 48th annual state banking conference in Des Moines on April 3. The one day event, sponsored by the Federation at County Bankers Associations and the Iowa Junior Bankers Association, focused on bank security, protection, and the Federal Truth in Lending Law. Prominent speakers included Paul M. Bartholomew, Edward A. Heath, and Harvey Stephens, with security panels featuring John R. Burt, Stanley Pugh, Harris C. Buell Jr., William F. Owens, and John Chrystal.
Mr and Mrs Kenneth Burke and Mrs Cora Burk attended funeral services for Weir Egema in the Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove Monday afternoon.

Mr and Mrs Henry Eekhoff and children of Sheffield were Friday supper guests at the Clarence Erwin home in honor of Mrs Eekhoffs birthday. Mrs Erwin also invited guests for the evening. They were Mr and Mrs George Eekhoff and family and Mr and Mrs Bob Eekhoff and Renee and Mr and Mrs Otta Swanson.
Mrs Irene Harris won high score and Mrs Ray Larson took the sow in a HOT 500 card club afternoon hosted by Mrs Art Vinson. Also noted is the wedding of Trudy Shipman and Larry Hebben at Lindecan Church Corwith with guests including Mr and Mrs Cledis Anderson Alan and Dwight.
Mrs Dean James entertained the Bridge Club last Monday evening. Mrs Duane Anderson won high and Mrs Tom Gimer was second in the event.
Mr and Mrs Marion Hove land attended the wedding of Trudy Shipman and Larry Hab ben at the Lutheran Church in Corwith Saturday evening.
Mr and Mrs Kenneth Pogge and family visited Friday after Thon at the Lile Zeigler home in Kanawha to celebrate Lynn's second birthday with relatives and friends in attendance.

The ALCW met Wednesday afternoon in the church parlors with 14 members present. Mrs Howard Larson and Mrs Maurice Nissen organized the program and led a meditation. Mrs Randy Palmer sang a solo I Believe with accompaniment by Mrs T N Thompson. Lunch was served by Mrs Roger Hoppenworth Mrs Randy Palmer and Mrs Roald Lamon.
