Divorce Sought In Washoe Court Over Failure To Provide Necessities

In the Second Judicial District Court of Nevada Washoe County case number 11707 Effie M. Barnes sues Fred D. Barnes for a divorce on grounds that the husband failed to provide basic life necessities. The summons dated June 3, 1916, requires the defendant to answer within ten to forty days depending on service location.

Chicago's First Billionaire Baby Expected in July

A report from Long Island New York notes Evelyn Marshall, now Mrs. Marshall Field 1h, awaiting a son at the Field lodge. Deming executes four Columbus raid bandits in jail

Four Vil listas were hanged in the Deming county jail after the Columbus raid. Eusevio Renteria and Tauring Garcia died after 20 minutes. Jose Rangel and Juan Castillo were strangled and died instantly. The event occurred under guard by 40 deputies with no disorder.
