Terrific Windstorm Disrupts Indiana Towns
A severe morning storm swept Hancock county Indiana destroying houses in Maxwell Wilkinson and Pendleton. Reports say up to eighteen people were killed, with three men missing at the Maxwell chain factory. Eighteen horses died in Cleveland and a grain elevator and the Hollweg Reese Bottle factory roof were blown off in Greenfield. A. V. Sample is fatally injured. Greenfield lies on the Pennsylvania road, twenty miles east of Indianapolis.

PORT TOWNSEND Wash June 25 The steamship Ohio arrived from Cape Nome Alaska reporting no trace of the steamer Portland blown in Behring Sea among the icebergs Also the steam schooner Jennie which sailed for Nome earlier in the season has not been heard from and is believed lost.

Divorced Wife Shot by Former Husband in Salt Lake
Edward Hemsley Jr a bricklayer shot and killed his divorced wife as she visited his former home to collect furniture and then killed himself. Sheriff Naylor witnessed the incident. Both died instantly. Weather fair tonight cloudy Thursday.
