Flames Ravage Kentucky Town Buildings In Fire

Cynthiana Kentucky June 24 2 a fire swept five business district buildings in this town. The blaze destroyed the Disabled American Veterans club rooms a liquor store restaurant a hardware warehouse and the three story Carr Furniture company. Intruder Invades Queen Mother Home

An intruder broke into Queen Mother Marys home at dawn injuring housekeeper Alice Knight seven times and assaulting a helper. Federal Agents Capture Shelton in Indianapolis Shootout

INDIANAPOLIS June 24 UP Two FBI agents shot down Henry Harland Shelton a top ten most wanted criminal last night as the Michigan fugitive reached for a gun to avoid arrest. The 41 year old was critically wounded. Shelton’s crime career began with a 1933 Kaleva bank robbery and he escaped Labor Day with Sam Lieb. They terrorized four states over 30 hours kidnapping a salesman and seizing cars before a Mayfield Kentucky gunfight where Lieb was captured. Foster offered no location details.
