R J Read a Reno resident, aged 37 and native of Nevada, was killed in an automobile accident near Clio California at midnight. The car overturned and Read was crushed under it. He leaves a widow and two children and his brother John T Read, a Reno real estate dealer, helps with arrangements. An inquest is planned at Clio with remains to be brought to Reno for burial. His mother is reported seriously affected by the news. The other occupant escaped with minor injuries.

Congressman Wickliffe Killed in Railway Accident
Representative Robert C. Wickliffe of Louisiana was struck and killed on the Southern Railway tracks at Potomac Park. Mrs B B La Goree of Washington DC reported to police she lost two diamond rings yesterday while at her Page apartments 319 West Fourth Street. One ring bears a solitaire diamond about a carat and the other a diamond about three quarters carat. She offers a liberal reward for their return. Funeral services for Edward Billetur were held today at Perkins Gulling chapel with Rev Breuster Adams officiating. Interment followed at Odd Fellows cemetery. He was an old city resident and a teamster.
