A Dodge tested for fuel efficiency on a 140 mile Reno to Emerald trip showed seven gallons used. Mrs FB L Wolf, bookkeeper for Osen McFarland Auto Co, drove from here to Emerald Tavern and back in 2 3 4 hours to Tahoe Tavern with further notes on road conditions. Harold Richardson of Reno also toured Tahoe Tavern in a Dodge, covering the distance in two hours and a half. Several Reno buyers, including Mrs C Barrett, KR W Shearer, J Kirchner, J Nugent, Modoc Auto Co, and Tonopah Auto Supply Co, purchased cars this week.

Overland car sales surge as Mack Auto Co spokesman C. W. Mack reports orders pouring in faster than shipments. In the past week eight cars were distributed with more promised next week. Buyers include Mineral County District Attorney Melrose, L. E Beeson of Loveleuxk, H. D. Bruns of Sheridan, J. M. Tremain, and Scossi Brothers of Sheridan. Mineral County, especially its southern part, shows high activity with miners and prospectors at work.

Motor Trucks Needed for Army in Mexico
Washington June 10 More motor trucks are needed by the American force in Mexico and probably wish he supplied. Gen Funston reported the war department that roads and continual use of trucks in hauling supplies had caused a number to break down. The rainy season now starting makes ample transportation facilities urgent. More than 300 trucks and about 100 other motor vehicles are now with the American expeditionary force, army officials said. Funston did not state the exact number of those which have broken down.
