Disastrous Explosion In Chicago Printing Office

A large blast at a Chicago Chronicle printing plant injures six and causes about $10,000 in damage. Foreman John McMillan and printer Matthew Baine are said to be seriously burned as flames eat through woodwork. Several coworkers are shaken but not seriously hurt.

Wheelmen Dance Stuns State with Grand Pavilion Ball

The Reno Wheelmen Club hosted a remarkable return ball at the Pavilion drawing capacity crowds. A decorative procession by eight riders on ornate wheels opened the night, followed by a grand march with over a hundred couples. Decorations valued above $10,000 and bicycles on display impressed attendees as Hastings Band provided new music. The Gazette calls it the most beautiful, richly decorated ball seen on the coast.

Acolyte Sunday School follows Unitarian Liberal services at 114 uM with sermon What is Christianity by M. J. Savage. Methodist morning and evening topics include The Burning of a Great Library and Lost The Cattle King. Baptist prayer meeting at 10 30 pm 11 and 7 pm sermons The Misf-Tres and The Demand for More Evidence. Trinity and Congregational churches schedule prayers sermons and Sunday School.
