Special to the Gazette from Lake View Examiner reports Jesse Combs twenty, son of Pierce Coombe, a stockman at Lake View. He shot himself in the head this morning and died instantly while at his father's ranch fifteen miles from town. His younger brother prepared breakfast and heard the shot. Combs had frequently expressed intent to kill himself. Lakeview, Ore. December 29.
