Passengers Buried Ten Feet Snow In Nebraska Village
Ten crew and passengers on Burlington train 802 Denver to Deadwood were buried for twenty hours under ten feet of snow near Sydney Nebraska. A relief force of fifty men arrived, rescuing them as blizzard conditions trapped the train. The village sheltered the travelers for the duration while workmen rebuilt access and secured aid from nearby towns.
