Benedict Imdorf of Tonopah Nevada committed suicide on November 30 by shooting himself aboard the steamer Finland, which arrived from Antwerp today. He was a cabin passenger and had been ill.
Telegraph inquiry into the alleged missing man Elmer E Aldrich from Sparks with possible injuries and sister in Chicago. Reno police and Harriman system asked to aid transport information. In Maize Kansas a burglary blew open a safe, $6000 stolen, burglars fled town before residents could rally, police seek suspects and recovered machinery brass and steel.
Word from Salt Marsh area says owners near Blair and Goldfield face claim jumpers after Nevada Bay State Company struck oil. Owners sought protection, reportedly asking Governor Dickerson to dispatch State Police to prevent clashes. Governor denies receiving such a request and calls the report false.
The Gazette artist reports a homely contest in Reno where John Sunderland, a popular clothing merchant, is considered the front runner though some deem him not the homeliest. Sunderland offers a $50 suit of clothes and a Stetson hat as the prize, to be displayed in his shop window as the week unfolds.
The Natl Goodwin Company answers Miller suit and asserts a cross claim seeking 300000 damages and a rescission of Miller's stock sale. It alleges Miller, as former vice president, knew the company’s affairs and conspired with others to depress Rawhide Coal property value after selling his stock.

Attorney Levers says the action appears spiteful as Rankin seeks material for the Scott Street bridge project and may force injunctive action to protect public rights. the matter continues.

In a dramatic confrontation, fanatics tell police they will kill more officers, naming a self styled figure called Adam God as their leader. The group wounded yesterday and a thirteen year old girl was struck by officers’ bullets. Additional suspects are in custody as the incident unfolds.

Mrs Sharp jailed. Patrolman Mullane and Sergeant Clark are gravely ill, bystander Selzer injured but may recover. The 11-year-old Mary Pratt recalls her sister’s death, saying she died for her God.
