Reverend Charles E Jameson to Be Ordained Tomorrow in Reno

The second Episcopal ordination in Nevada under Bishop Henry D Robinson will take place tomorrow at Trinity Episcopal in Reno. Rev Charles Elmer Jameson, who came from Michigan, will be ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Robinson with Arch Deacon Mett of Virginia City presiding. The ceremony features special music and is expected to draw a large crowd. Jameson was ordained a deacon about four years ago and has served in Reno since replacing Rev Samuel Unsworth, now in London.

Heads of Four Split Open with an Axe

Four members of the Garcia family were found dead in their Morrisa Creek home near Trinidad Colorado. Victims include Gasmo Gare, 52, Viviana Garcia, 52, Torrivia Garcia, 25, Lua Gurrule, 60. A child Maggie Garcia, 8, is missing and police chase leads to Wayneclsen Martines, 30, linked to the case. The house shows signs of a two day decay.

Yankee cruiser sinks off New Bedford after towing mishap

Funeral of Walter Wright Held in Sacramento

Walter Wright president of the Gray Reid Wright company is honored with a Sacramento funeral today under the Hik lodge. The firm’s large store is closed and many employees and Reno friends travel to the capital to pay respects to the well known businessman.

Johnsons daughter granted divorce in Cleveland case

Mrs Hilza beth Johnson Mariani, daughter of Mayor Tom L Johnson, was granted a divorce from Frederico Mariani of New York. She testified he never supported her after their March 1907 marriage at the mayor's home. The couple soon moved to New York and soon separated. Mariani is an Italian playwright.

Receiver Sought for Rawhide Western Railway Company

J W Hicks filed in district court asking for a receiver to take control of the Rawhide Western Railway Company and wind up its affairs. He alleges members have tried to oust him as a member and seeks disincorporation of the firm.

Stewart Estate Valued at 1100 in Sparks City

Mrs Lile Stewart widow of the late W B M Stewart city attorney of Sparks filed in district court to be appointed executrix of his will. Petition states the estate is valued at 131200 with Mrs Stewart named as sole devisee.

Summerfield Granted an Absolute Divorce by Judge Pike

A decree of absolute divorce was granted to Sardis Summerfield from Mary E. Summerfield on desertion grounds. Mary did not contest, property division agreed, minor son Vernon awarded custody to Mary with potential future custody review, Lester Summerfield to reach majority Jan 1909, Lake Roach claim noted, other property retained by plaintiff. The case marks the third divorce action between the parties in two years.
