Denver reports Governor Pow lindy proclaimed martial law in Cripple Creek at noon suspending habeas corpus. He cites an insurrection and destruction around the Vindicator mine and the unrest defeating civil authority. Military forces will detain and punish alleged offenders under the proclamation.
