Human mole ends long confinement in prison walls
Fort Madison Iowa December 3. P.H. Evans a forty six year old prisoner known as the human mole emerged from a two foot high underground hideout beneath a prison building after more than a month of concealment since October 25. He said he survived with bread cheese a loaf of bread and water bought at the canteen with help from tuberculosis patients. Guards pulled him out after a tip from another inmate.
