He notes ladies wear pants under skirts and that fittings occur in parlors with maids present. Prices vary from 90 to 126 dollars as fashion advances rapidly.
A Colorado official recalls a first sight of a mountain lion up in the mountains while cow herds wandered. He used an umbrella to scare the beast as it leapt and the cows fled.
