Earthquake Devastates Kuchan Town Very Heavy Loss Reported

Teheran Times correspondent reports great loss of life from the Kuchan earthquake. Town described as a heap of ruins with no house standing and decaying bodies causing overpowering stench. Shocks continue in western hills while adjacent villages escaped with little damage. A loud report preceded the shocks and there is talk of rebuilding east of Kuchan.

Noble Uncle George Walker Dies in Winnemucca at 82

George Walker longtime Humboldt County resident native of Massachusetts died Wednesday in Winnemucca after a year or more of illness aged 82. He belonged to Humboldt Chapter No 9 R A M Winnemucca Lodge No 19 F and A M and was a Past High Priest of the Grand Chapter of R A M of Nevada. He also belonged to University Lodge I O O F of Oakland. He was buried in Winnemucca this afternoon. His life was long and useful and his memory may guide others.
