Riot at Kentucky prison leaves three inmates wounded
Franksport officials and citizens faced a prison riot sparked by three murderers LaFayette Brooks Wallace Bishop and T Mulligan. Bishop was fatally wounded Mulligan shot in the shoulder and a Black convict Albert Ransome of Leunstile was hit by a rifle ball. Ransome joined the escapees after entering the rocker department. Brooks Bishop and Mulligan were among the 1500 inmates.
