Smashed Auto Crash Damages Two Cars in Kensington

A Hudson owned by Clark of the Rensselaer Republican and an Overland driven by Walter Hoffine of Fowler collided near a church in Kensington Tuesday afternoon. A gravel wagon blocked the road causing the Hudson to swing left into Hoffine’s car, knocking it onto the sidewalk. No injuries were reported though both vehicles suffered heavy damage.

Mrs Bonnie McCullough Dies After Long Illness

Mrs Bonnie McCullough, 39, wife of Warren McCullough of Benton County, died at St Elizabeth hospital Lafayette after more than a year of sickness due to cancer. She taught school in Lafayette and Boswell before marriage, was a Bethany Chapel Christian church member, and active in church work. Funeral services were held at the family home on Wednesday.

Jasper County Tax Rolls Show Decline in 1922 Valuation

1922 valuation of taxable property in Jasper County excluding railroads and banks shows a total decrease of about 7.6 million. Community Let Fund reports for World War memorial park
