109 Years Old Today A Mount Hope Woman Reflects on Life
Anna Williams, born in Jacksonville, grew up in Virginia and West Virginia, has witnessed 19 presidents from Civil War era to present. She credits daily Bible study and prayer, and a long habit of smokeless tobacco, for her longevity. She remembers 1912 Titanic sinking, family curfews, and church life, living at Mount Hope with Clarence Taylor and his wife.
