Summers County judge revokes probation for Hinton man
Summers County Circuit Judge Robert Irons revoked the probation of 34 year old Roger D. Cox of Hinton for failing to report and pay restitution in a welfare fraud case. Cox received a one year jail sentence and $500 fine but was given another chance with a report date of October 26. In a separate matter, James Preston Smith of Pipestine remained jailed on $50,000 bail as Irons denied a bail reduction pending a mental evaluation.
