Raleigh County eyes overlay of old landfill for more space
Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority considers capping the old landfill with a multi layer liner and leachate system to reuse the site. Consultant Charles Gillian says overlay could add about 30 acres and raise capacity from 3.3 to 6 million cubic yards while saving about 1 million dollars in development costs.
