Norfolk Southern Upgrades 100 Miles of WV Rail Lines

Norfolk Southern and CSX plan a major upgrade of southern West Virginia lines after their Conrail deal. The 100 mile segment from Princeton to Deepwater near Alley costs about 10 million dollars and includes 60 miles Deepwater to Elmore and 47 miles to Kelleysville. Crews replace rails with welded sections, while timber ties are refreshed.
