John Henry statue vandalized again in Summers County
In Talcott a John Henry Park statue, commemorating the 1870s Great Bend Tunnel battle, was whitewashed Wednesday night amid fall rituals. Bill Dillon of the Hilldale Talecott Raritan Club notes repeated vandalism as crowds prepare for homecoming, Halloween and weekend rail events. The club will not repair the statue until after tonight’s game or Halloween.

Fatal accident claims Fairmont teen as classmates mourn
Fairmont Senior High School students mourn 17 year old Seth Burton after a head on crash near Apple Valley Country Club in Whitehall killed him. Five teammates and a parent were in the other vehicle. Burton was ejected and not wearing a seat belt. Three teammates remain hospitalized in stable condition.
