Monroe County election results unchanged after canvass
Monroe County general elections remained largely unchanged after Monday’s canvass by the county commission. Two county contests shifted slightly with Duane Miller gaining on Franklin Campbell by 3 votes, Campbell 1,638 total to Miller 1,430, and Campbell holding a 208 vote lead after canvass. The school board bond levy also moved from 325 to 320 margin, totals 1,612 against to 1,292 for. Canvass to be certified Thursday if unchallenged. In Princeton Mercer County, parents Frank and Liz Taylor receive two years probation for child neglect after their plea, with counseling and parenting classes required. Frank Taylor age 63, Liz Taylor 32.
