Suspected hit and run driver sought in Beckley
Beckley police search for a white Ford Ranger driver who hit a 14 year old boy riding a bicycle on Worley Road and fled the scene at the Worley Road Myers Avenue intersection. The juvenile, with head injuries, was found at 300 Myers Ave and admitted to Raleigh General Hospital. Information line provided.

N C man to face rape charges in Charleston case
Charles William Chaffin 28 of Danbury North Carolina will be brought to Charleston to face sexual assault charges from a prostitute. He is also a suspect in the rape of a second prostitute who says she was abducted assaulted and released in the same way as the first. Victims say they were driven to rural spots at knifepoint and forced to have sex before being ordered out of the car.
