Two challenge Wise in West Virginia primary race
Charleston attorney Wendel Turner and Harrison County Commissioner Beth Taylor enter the 2nd District Democratic primary against Rep. Bob Wise. Both see strategic value in campaign experience for 2000 while pushing reform, with Turner denouncing money in politics and Taylor stressing district breadth and practical experience. Wise defends focus on 1998 and policy goals in education jobs and health care.
