Jobs Drop Slightly in Area Counties
The region showed about 900 fewer jobs in May year over year, with permanent employment down 890 after excluding poll workers. Goods producing fell by 980 while service producing rose, amid regional unemployment at 6.6 percent in May compared with 6.9 a year prior.
