Questionable validity of magistrate nomination by Raleigh County Democrats
The Raleigh County Democratic Executive Committee's last act may be invalid. It nominated John Tanner for magistrate amid questions over open versus secret ballots and out of district proxies. If the state committee voids the vote or the new committee overturns it, Tanner's nomination could be moot.
