Family discount plea agreed in Hinton battery case

Michael Palmer of Nimitz accepted a state offered family discount plea on the day he was to stand trial for battery of a police officer. He will plead guilty to charges including a drug indictment and other counts, with the battery case likely moved to circuit court. Palmer is jailed after bond revocation for threats. several family members also face drug felonies from the same 1996 sting.

White Sulphur woman pleads guilty to illegal trespass

Mary Reaser of White Sulphur Springs pleaded guilty in Greenbrier County Circuit Court to illegal trespass after evidence suppression in pre trial motions. The 26 year old had been charged with unlawful entry of a dwelling for entering a neighbor’s apartment without permission with intent to commit larceny. Reaser received a $100 fine.
