Zoning law clash over White Sulphur Springs permit
White Sulphur Springs council rejected requests to revoke Glenn Camp’s building permit issued last year. The dispute began with Leo Lewis and others seeking revocation after Parrish and Marie Lewis sold the lot at Castle Drive and Main Street, aiming to halt a metal building project. The zoning board earlier reclassified the site to B-2 business, upheld Camp’s permit, and the council overturned the board, sending Camp’s case to Greenbrier County Circuit Court where Judge James Rowe ruled in Camp’s favor.
