Beckley eyeing state meeting to push traffic project progress
Beckley officials told city council they seek a meeting with state leaders to move the Stamford Road and Eisenhower Drive upgrade project. Weather disrupts traffic light sensors and delays synchronization, while a surge of visitors strains the highway network during peak hours. The city also approved borrowing up to 2.5 million to buy the Lewis Chevrolet site for public parking and set monthly Lewis Chevrolet lot fees.
