Volunteers wire Daniels Elementary for Internet access
Volunteers coordinated by Barbara Meadows wired Daniels Elementary classrooms to Internet access as part of Bell Atlantic's World School initiative. The effort connects 700 West Virginia public schools since 1997, with 20 to 50 volunteers per weekend, enabling student access to educational sites, electronic field trips, and self paced programs.
