Widow carries on husband dream to aid Appalachians
In Johnson City Tennessee widow Kathleen Arneson preserves her late husband Joe Arneson’s aim to build homes for needy Appalachian families. A fundraiser raised about 20 000 dollars for the Joseph D Arneson Memorial Endowment to fund one house annually with CAP and volunteers assisting with foundations roofs and assembly. The plan envisions expanding to 300 000 dollars in two years to sustain supplies and manpower for ongoing builds.
