Alderson Man Identified in New River Death
A body found in the New River near Meadow Creek and Glade Creek has been identified as Robert E. Shepherd, 39, of Alderson. Raleigh County investigators say the death’s cause is pending state medical examiner reports and no foul play is suspected. the body was in the river for about two weeks and was found with Chrysler and Ford keys.

Radio station back on air after blaze in Logan WV
