Oak Hill hires clerk treasurer Danita Johnson
Oak Hill City Council at a special meeting hired Danita Johnson as city clerk and treasurer at an annual salary of 35 000 to replace the vacancy from Virginia Foxs death. The council also outlined that the sanitary board meets with a city manager candidate for clarifications and agreed to cut the engineering consultants contract after project completion. Mayor Calvin Jones will inform the engineering consultant services are no longer needed and will arrange a joint effort with Fayette County Humane Society to handle animals at the shelter with Oak Hill officers spending 20 hours weekly and no fee paid. The city previously donated 1200 annually and a routine audit of the books will be performed by the state Department of Tax and Revenue.
